The: "Finals are over!!" post....

I made it!!!

We survived this dreadful semester!! Finals ended on Wednesday and then I was thrown back into real life... Family party, our house--Sunday. UGH! Clean, buy, bake... You know how it is when people come over (keep in mind our house has been neglected for the last 16 weeks-well as far as details go).

It turned out fine, everyone came over and had fun (at least to my knowledge). I just wanted to share some pics and a movie of Chase singing--you have got to watch it!

Mac and me...Dave is not the picture kind-of-guy....

-Our beautiful tree-

HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Enjoy this of Chase. He is a hoot and a half!! You can't see it very well, but make sure your speakers are plugged in for this one!

I DID IT!!!!

I finally broke 55% on my anatomy tests that we take every week!!! I got a 65%--my goal was to break 60% AND I DID!!!
It may not sound stellar, but the class average (on this one) was 45%....
Had to share my good news.
Love you all!

...the call

We got the return phone call about Mac...
His blood work all settled down (after an extreme change in diet, antibiotics, antinausea meds and lots a of down time). FEW!!! He is going to be just fine... and is back to playing fetch with his dad.
I am so relieved that he is okay (for now at least)! Who knows what he may face in the future, but all is well...

I took my anatomy lab midterm... I got 86%!!!!!! I know that doesn't sound to stellar, but that is a darn good score in my book, and I worked hard to get it.
This anatomy class is so intense...its almost unreal. I think that you can relate if you have taken anatomy, but you can only understand if you have taken it from the Shively/Homan combination...

Love you all!!!
Camille :P

My sick boy....

Hello everyone!!! I’m so very sorry that I have been so detached from all of you… Life is still bizarre.
Mac started throwing up. Me being me—I just thought that he was doing it as an attempt for Dave and I to stay home (it initially started in the morning). Sadly, it continued… He began to have diarrhea, was having accidents, and couldn’t make it outside. I thought that we were neglecting him, so we gave him more attention. It was still worsening. He stopped playing with all of his toys, became lethargic, and just blah. Oh, of course…our vet has retired…so we’re without a vet to call and consult. Dave and I choose to take him to the Pet ER. The trip was a spiral of emotions for me…
When I put Mac up on the table (If you have never been to a vet the tables are steel, cold, and most pets will do anything to get off. Mac typically jumps off –it is higher than my waist.) he looked over at me let out a deep sigh, and collapsed onto the cold table. They did some xrays, and blood tests. They came in and told me that there was a high chance that he could have a hepatic portal shunt (that is super bat)!!! I burst into tears (yes over a dog). They did more blood work to confirm or deny the shunt. His blood came back negative (Thank you Lord!). While I was extremely releaved that he didn’t have a hepatic portal shunt, still what was causing him to be so sick??
The vet offered me two different routes of treatment: 1) conservative, 2) aggressive. “Of course, this is my boy” I said to him. "Be aggressive!! If you know me you wouldn't have had to ask that question" I told the caring vet. The aggressive treatment involved an ultrasound. While they were in there doing the ultrasound (and I was sitting back in the room--that was hard for me not to see it) they were able to check over all of his internals, they all were normal, EXCEPT his pancreas.
Mac is suffering from acute pancreatitis. Because of what I do for a living I know how painful pancreatitis is, and my heart broke for my little guy. He has lost 2lbs, he was only 15lbs. I am grateful that they were able to diagnosis this on him and begin to treat it. We take him back to the vet for a follow up on Tuesday. I will let you know what they have to say.
Today Mac has been more like himself than he has been in weeks, so I can tell that his treatment has been helping.

I can't wait to see how I react to my children being sick. After seeing how I break down over my dog...it will be interesting... LOL!
Only 5 more weeks of school…AAAAHHH!! I have been looking so forward to getting closer to being done, and I can’t believe that its beginning to wind down. My classes are getting additionally intense.
Dave is still working, and keeping our house in order… We really aren’t doing anything exciting. Today Dave did all of the laundry, all of the way! He even put it away!!!!

Sorry this is so long... I will be in touch
XOXOXOXOXO

my light today....

Hey all!
Today while I was reading along in my book of mormon I "stumbled" along on something that I can really relate to and I want to share with ya'll. If any of you want to read (what i view as) a great chapter in the book of mormon go read 2nephi chapter 4. as i was reading this it was like my life right now... i can completely relate to nephi's feeling in this chapter!
i feel like i am at the bottom of a well, and the water is rising under neath of me and its raining from above. all i can do is barley stay a float, gasping for air. as i read this chapter i realized that even spiritual giants go through similar feelings of discouragement. it brought light to my dark and dreary day...

i hope that you all enjoy. let me know what you think of this chapter.......

XOXOXOXOXOXO :)

6 random "things" about me and my life...

Hummm. here goes...

1. The first thing that came to mind is my kitchen table....

Our kitchen table has become our laundry room. If clothes are folded, they stay here. If clothes are not folded...they stay here. its one of those things that I don't have time to fix-so I have to just let it be...I am just grateful that I have clean clothes to wear. It takes both of us doing what we can, when we can to keep our house semi-functioning this semester.

2. This semester is the hardest semester ever (at least up to currently). I have made a daily schedule (for myself and Dave to stay on the same page) that I will share:

Monday: In class from 8-2, study group from 2-4 for anatomy, study group for math from 4-5, nap from 5-6:30, lab from 7-12.

Tuesday: Class 8-11, chemistry study group from 12-2, nutrition study group from 2-4, nap from 4-6:30, lab from 7-12.

Wednesday: In class from 8-2, study group from 2-4 for anatomy, study group for math from 4-5 (if i am lucky nap from 5-6),work 7pm-1am.

Thursday: Class from 10-4 (hope for a nap from 4-6), Work 7pm-1am.

Repeat Monday for Friday.

Saturday: every other Saturday I work 7am-7pm. If I am not working, I am at school from 9-5...

This is why I am so detached from my friends and family. I really am not forgetting about you. I just have WAY more on my plate than I can chew... This is also why I am so thankful for David. He is the one constant in my life. He is truly amazing.

3. The fact that I had Dave pull the Halloween decorations out of the garage. Yep, still sitting in the box and its already the 17th. Is it worth putting up? Halloween is 2 weeks away....

4. Our dog is so spoiled! With the snow already flying... we couldn't let him freeze...

When we went to petsmart and saw this hoodie, we just couldn't pass it up. any idea why? LOL!!!

(this is probably my favorite pic of Dave and Mac currently)

5. I love to take pictures (and have them taken). Dave hates them! that is why I have so many side profile pictures of him.

6. Did I mention that I have OCD??? I already have 90% of Christmas presents bought for our families....

So there you have it...

I tag: Amy, Bonanza, Jill, Katrina,Marci and anyone that wants to have some fun....

PS:

We did NOT end up getting another Dog... not this time around. Maybe next litter. We figured that we don't have time to potty train another one this semester.

oh by the way...

October is breast cancer awareness month. Because of what I do for a living this is important for me to spread the word to all those that I care about.

I found this funny "sticker"...

But really, check yourself and spread the word!!!

Today...

Hey All,

Today is... Well life is still crazy. I am sorry that I haven't been keeping up on once a week posts. Anatomy is completely engulfing my life. Then my other classes that I have to somewhat try to keep up in.

Dave is still just a working hard...and Mac keeps us on our toes. It sounds so lame i know... But our Mac adds such joy to our lives. (you totally don't get it until you have a dog of your own) I have always loved dogs, but he is the BEST dog ever.

Last Friday night I surprised Dave with tickets to a Mixed Martial Arts fight with a bunch of local fighters. Dave knew that we were going to the fight, but he didn't know that I got VIP tickets (that was the surprise). It was such a blast!!! We try really hard to have a date night once a week. If we don't we literally can go from Sunday to Sunday without having a conversation with each other. I think that is about all that has happened since the last time that I posted... Oh, I guess that I better add that Football has started. So Dave has something to "do".

I will really try to be better at posting!
Love you all!

Life as we know it...SUPER CRAZY! I have the best husband in the world! Dave is so supportive of me and my dreams (notice all of the me's). Thanks babe for that all you do to keep this house a float! You are truly amazing!!! I would NOT be who I am today with out you in my life.

LOVE YOU!!
I also want to thank all of my friends and family for all of their constant support and encouragement as I continue to travel down this road! You all have helped shape Dave and I in our lives.

~School is in session~

Hey all!!!

School has started! Hence my lack in my blogging. I will do my best to be in touch at least once a week... I am so glad that I am finally going full-time, but it sure takes all of my extra time.

Any how, I will do my best to keep in touch!
We love you all!!

XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX

----H-E-L-P---

Dave and I are planning getting another little baby (which to us means: DOG). We went and looked at some last night.... Here are the pics of the two that I like the best.

The thing I don't like about white... maintenance. I'm sure that it will be more work to keep her clean.
Here is the whole litter. They are all girls....

So I really need some help.... Please let me know which one is the best looking. ONLY ONE...

Oh, and I might add.... Dave has just put in a doggie door. It took him 2hours, yeah to put the doggie door in. Our spoiled rotten Mac only uses it sometimes.... LOL!

Dave reading the destructions (as he calls them)

He thought maybe it was the angel... So he changed and used my planter box for the "perfect" angel... Oh, wait....

The planter box wasn't working well enough, so lets try the side of the house...

Two hours, and three angles later.... WE HAVE OUR DOGGIE DOOR!!

New Gizz-mo....

I got this kick butt new phone... I LOVE IT!! It has quickly become my better half (sorry Dave). It just makes sense to me. And it has GPS.... So with any luck I will spend less time getting lost. (ha, ha, we will have to wait and see how that goes for me)

P.S.

Only 14 days of sanity left... School is just around the corner.

Erika's Bridal shower...

My dear sweet cousin is getting married in less than a week. His fiancee, Erika, and let me tell you what...this girl is amazing. How did he get so lucky?! She sent him on a mission to Vera Cruz Mexico and actually wasn't married when he came home....
Here are some pictures of her "Happily Ever After" bridal shower last night.

She had at least 5 pieces of bubble-licous in her mouth....

The TP dress contestants...Erika-- I had so much fun with your family and friends at your shower last night. Thanks so much for inviting me! I hope that you enjoy your gift... He, he, he, he, he, he,he.

the cost of 1 class

Yesterday I went to school to get my books before the "rush" starts. Only one class had my books already in... So I preceded to get them from the shelf. I grabbed the text book and added it to my basket and began to look for the shelf tag for the lab that goes with it. I was astonished...Not only does Anatomy require one text book for lab, but it requires 4 book for the class. And of course no body wants to sell back their used anatomy books....

I ended up with 5 books for one class, at the high-price of $366.52. Yep, and that is only for the one class. I still have 3 more classes to buy books for.

It should be illegal to require this much literature at such steep prices. The books are in addition to my already costly tuition. When UVSC turned into a university my tuition increased. I swear.... They get you coming and going--and everywhere in between.

My treat to me

In the move from our duplex in Sugar House to where we are currently living...We somehow lost, ironically enough, both of our sets scriptures. So a year and a half later I decided that it was time… and I wanted some new ones.
I bought me the quad button snap and had my name put on it.... I guess that you can say that I splurged on myself. I went with green (even though I wanted blue) cause I’m sure that Dave will get the blue someday when he wants some.

Conrad's 16th Birthday Party

Ok, so my baby brother is now 16. I can't believe that he is old enough to drive and have a girlfirend (and don't worry he does)...

I guess that I never thought this day would come...

I am it...

Sheena tagged me...
So here goes.
6 unusual things about me....

1. I LOVE to cook, but I am not very good at it. As I continue to try I am getting better, but I still have a long way to go.

2. I just got to have my clothes on the hanger the right way...MY WAY! I need to be able to see the front of my shirts as I go down through the closet. (I also go from tank-tops to long sleeves followed by my scrubs)

3. I get so irritated when people don't pull over for ambulances. Geesh...what if they were going to your house? You would want everyone else to pull over.

4. I color coordinate my day planner. Each class, payday, bill, and appointment has their own colors.

5. I am a pack rat. I love to save things...I really enjoy going back through the papers (sometimes stacks) and looking at what was going on in our life.

6. I really like going to school--I enjoy learning. Yeah, its sometimes overwhelming, super busy, and unbelievably stressful...I know that it will be well worth it!

So now that I have shared my crazy things....Amy and Lindsay--your it!!!!!

:P

Matt and Ashley's Wedding

Matt and Ashley are now married (On June 28th). I am late, because I didn't have a blog then. So here are the pictures....ENJOY!

My dad...on Ambien

My mom had surgery last week, so me being the control freak that I am--I was up in Logan all week. While I was there I had the opportunity to catch my dad after taking his Ambien.
He was upset with us because we wouldn't let him eat rotten food, drew a line of mustard down Brock's (Conrad's friend) back, and that is only the begining....

Our BLOG begins...

So...I have finally done it!
Dave and I have a blogspot.
