2 Weeks old

Our Bailee is 2 weeks old now...
Here is the whole story...

One Day Old

1 Week Old

This is a premie onsie that she has on...I didn't realize that they are so tiny. And yes, that is a massive scratch on her cheek. She doesn't enjoy those mittens, and always manages to get them off.

I don't have a two week picture, because we took a bath instead of doing a photo shoot. We are amidst the sleepless nights, and long sleepless nights for that matter. But she is such a sweet thing to have around. I never thought that I would be happy to wake up to a screaming child; turns out that I LOVE it. Being a mom is about the coolest thing around (makes it super hard to want to focus on becoming a nurse). I am so glad that she is here, healthy, and ours. I will try to be better at posting pictures of our angel more often.

She is here!!!

Our baby girl arrived on Friday at 5:07 am. She came after 22 hours of laboring, but only 7 pushes to get her out... :) She weighted 6 lbs 15 oz and was 19 inches long.
We choose to name her Bailee...
She is such an amazing addition to our family and I am super glad that she is ours.

I will post pictures soon.

It is official!

Consider us officially ready to bring home our little girl; with the purchase of our travel system and crib mattress yesterday. She now has a way to safely get home and somewhere to sleep soundly (right?!).

Only 4 more weeks until her grand arrival, and I am sure that it will be her before I can even blink twice. So for now I just have to work on getting some extra clinical hours in, and getting ahead in all my classes…

So at our house we are trying to surrive another semester and getting ready for a little girl...
That is about all that we have going on...

Doctor Apt 7/27/2009

We went to the doctor on Monday and she did an ultrasound of the baby. We got to watch the little heart beats and see the baby move. (The baby didn't like the doc pushing on it.) She measured the little guy (or gal) to check the due date. It was so amazing to see the baby. I think that Dave is still in shock...the O crap...this is really real shock. The doctor printed off a picture of the little parasite growing inside of me, that is really cool. You can see the baby's head, both eyes, nose, mouth, arms, butt, and legs. It is amazing! She didn't even try to look for the gender of the baby because it is still to early. I am only 12 weeks along, so it will be another 6 weeks before they will do that ultrasound.
I am extremely impressed with our doctor. My previous doctor moved, so I was left to choose someone in their practice... I chose someone by name. Her name is Camille Stevensen (good name huna?!). She was so AMAZING with us...she pulled up a chair and talked to us for 30 minutes. She talked with us about the concerns that we have been having, but would never have brought up to a health care provider. Also about the whole pregnancy thing, being first time parents, the optional tests that we can do, and let us know that it is okay to call with questions. She was just awesome with us; we are so lucky to have a doctor that spent time with us, and reassured us.
I don't know, maybe all doctors do that with first time parents--but WOW she won my vote for most compassionate, understanding, informative, and respectful doctor ever! If I can ever get my schedule to coordinate with Brieann's I will post the ultrasound of the little peanut.

Surprise update...!!!

Hey ladies and gents!

It has been a BUSY summer. Only 3 more weeks of summer school! This has been the hardest summer of school... Its because these classes are so LAME. (I guess that is why I haven't taken them before now). But the good news is that I will have my degree in 3 weeks. YEAH! Almost there!

Dave's little sister, Brieanne, moved in with us in June. It has been an extremely good thing for her. Although I must admit that Dave is loving it too... He has someone who loves TV in the same way and as much as he does.

Oh, yah... I should add that WE ARE HAVING A BABY...!!!!
SURPRISE!!! Not what we had planned on, but I guess that the Lord thinks that we are ready and can handle it... So, here we go! I am due Feb 8...
Maybe one of you wonderful ladies can tell me WHY in the world they call it morning sickness?? It ought to be called perma-sickness...

We are past the shock and denial phase; now we are mainly excited. It really helped me to get excited after we told our parents. They are ALL so happy for us. Of course that makes Dave and I feel much better to have their support behind us.

Not much else going on...just still staying busy... I will keep ya'll posted.
