Life has been busy -still- but really...will it ever slow down? Probably not, because I dont know how to not keep up a fast pace. I have decided not to go to summer school. We got thinking that it might be nice to actually see each other for the summer before I start insane craziness this fall.
Chase (my awesome nephew) turned 5. If that isn't weird that he is already 5-than I don't know what is... he was super funny to watch open his presents. gosh, I love that kid. :) I used to always say that he was my favorite nephew, but I can't anymore. Ryan and his wife Michelle had a little boy, named Payton (I think that is how they spelled it).
Chase contemplating...
Check out that facial expression... think the liked the spiderman bed spread?
Baby Payton. So cute, and such a good boy (for now--he, he)
My husband is an amazing man. I'm not even sure how to put it into words how thankful I am for all of the things that he does to keep our house afloat. without him we would never have: clean clothes, clean dishes, warm dinners...you know all of the things that a wife should do...but he has just picked up my slack because of starting school full-time. He has also unpacked 98% (at least) of the house...and that means that he has been organizing it... and this is where I need to vent for a minute.***stop reading here if you are against venting about husbands***
Seriously!!! A man should never organize a kitchen. EVER! I thought to myself: "just don't let it bother you, he does 99% of the cooking, you really dont need to let this get to you". BUT now I am not going to summer school and can temporally return to the wife role---holey cow it is going to drive me completely crazy for sure! He has done things like:
*put the ziplock baggies under the sink. really who does that? oh yeah, my hubby
*the garbage can is 8feet (or more) away from where you actually cook. so that you can drop food all over the kitchen as you are cooking (at least when I am cooking)
*put the pots and pans (you actually use) so jam-packed in a cupboard that you are digging for 2minutes to get the one you want
*put ALL of the mixing bowls on the top shelves. yep, right where I cant reach any of them. So, on Sunday i moved a few to where I could reach them without a stool--Last night they were right back to where he likes they and I have to get a stool or jump on the counter to get them...
*put the dishes to eat off of in the corner cupboard. I truly hate this cupboard! it is a waste of space and you cant get anything into or out of with out a headache.
*put the baking pans in the cupboards..... not really sure what he was thinking when he did that one.
Okay, I really REALLY needed to get this off of my chest. I have been slowly moving things, he continues putting them slowly back where he wants them....UGH! He keeps telling me "I do the cooking-they should go where I want them". I must admit that he is 100% right on the cooking part of that statement. However, that doesnt help the fact that every time that I help him I get so frustrated......I just have remind my self: --self, stay calm, at least he is helping. He is such a great man, and I need to remember his intentions are good.
For me this is such a great reminder for me of why estrogen should be in the kitchen instead of testrone. :)
